What care actually covers
Updates, tested rather than applied
WordPress core, the builder and every plugin, updated on a staging copy first and rolled forward only when the site still works. An update applied blind on a Friday is how sites go down on a Saturday.
Backups that live somewhere else
Off-server, versioned, and restored to a test site periodically; because a backup nobody has ever restored is a hope, not a backup.
Monitoring that reaches me, not a dashboard
Uptime and certificate expiry, alerting to a phone. You should not be the one who tells me the site is down.
A monthly allowance for small changes
New page, updated copy, a job posting, a swapped photograph. Unused hours do not roll over, which is stated plainly because every care plan that says otherwise quietly means the same thing.

Care is optional and it is not a condition of the build. The site is yours on your hosting and it will keep working without me; that is the whole design. Care exists because most businesses would rather not think about it, not because the site needs a subscription to run.
Available on sites I did not build, after a paid audit. I will not take on care for a site I have not looked inside, because agreeing to maintain something unknown is how you end up rebuilding it for free.

Do I have to buy care?
No, and the site does not need it to keep working. It is on your hosting with no licence to renew. Care is convenience, not a hostage arrangement.
Can I cancel?
Any time, with a month's notice. You keep everything, because you always had everything.
What if something breaks at 2am?
I will see the alert and fix it when I am awake. If you need someone awake at 2am, you need a team, and I will say so rather than sell you a promise I cannot keep.
Will you look after a site you did not build?
After a paid audit, yes. The audit tells us both whether the site is maintainable or whether you are paying me to keep something alive that should be replaced.
